yes i'm writing this to pearl jam...

there's just this lone
guy watching tv. that's the coming of age
story i can relate to.
because the problem is everywhere
i go there's no crime,
no violence to bring us together, to make me
more human. no unrequited
love to sweep me off my feet.
and i've always been too smart
(cowardly)
to get attached to the grog
and all the other drugs don't come my way.
just this lone guy
walking at night...
hoping wanting desperate
to be a little more human.
and that's the story that still needs
to be written. the film in pre-production about
the guy in front of the tv dreaming
of taking the car down the road...
and maybe the crime
passion and drugs
will follow.
