Venice is the city where I was born in 1953. I took a degree in foreign languages
there in 1979 and I started teaching in the same year but without having a fixed,
permanent job until 1988 in the same school where I teach now, in San Dona di Piave,
outside Venice.
I started loving the English language working in my wife's English
bookshop in Venice, which was eventually, and rather unfortunately, closed.
I started writing poems in English in 1993 and stopped definitely writing in Italian
in the same year. It made no sense since I read, except daily newspapers in Italian,
only novels and poems in English. I was first published by the magazine
"Books Ireland" in December 1999. Since then, I have been published by magazines in
the UK and Ireland, and a few now in the U.S.
