George Shaffer

I've been composing poetry for about ten years, most seriously for about eight years.   My turn around eight years was by a per chance meeting of my late mentor, Carmen LaBrono, who is reading his poems on a different plane.   I write because I love to and because I have to.   Mr. LaBrono "weaved for me a tapestry of words" as I like to say and I will write until I no longer can.

I've been published in ten journals including Writer's Cramp, Advocate, The Poets Page, Nomad's Chair, and Chants, among others.
