J.V. Foerster was born in Port Washington, Wisconsin. In the past she traveled throughout the U.S. performing as a singer-songwriter. Currently she has settled down to write in Portland, Oregon. She has been published in many literary magazines including: Kimera, Niederngasse, Southern Ocean Review, Eclectica, Agnieszka’s Dowry, Red River Review. She has won three honorable mentions from the Oregon State Poetry Association and is currently the editor of the Zidell Companies newsletter the "Whistle".
