Daring
by: David Trame

At the end of the dam
You feel you have left the world behind,
The shore, the roar, even the pelting rain;
On the stone edge,
In front of nothing else but the sea
The air flashes with quietness,
A wholeness that makes you shiver,
The beyond seems easy,
One step forward.
And breathing
The same as daring to disappear.
