Heartbeats long sleeves dark pants sandals in the springtime. pretty face and hair that’s soft, soft silk. deep eyes big with disappointment. short of breath crying in the brow. nothing stays forever in august nights that are cool with mischief. the boys and the girls, together again in september. springtime draws nearer to the anniversary. the time when sandals accent wiggling toes, and beauty lets go. three years and a broken heart. long sleeves dark pants and sandals in the the springtime.
